Black 1976 CJ7: Chrome or Black hinges & accessories?

Hey all,

I'm painting the Jeep in 2 weeks (weather permitting) and I am about to buy all new hardware for the hood and windshield.

I keep jumping back and fourth between the chrome hinges and the powder coated black hinges.

Do you guys have any pics of either set on a Black CJ?

What are your thoughts? I may end up buying both locally and laying them both on the hood to see what I like best.

IMO I think the hinges should match the body color. The latches should be black. But if I was to have the hinges dressed up I vote for black. The trouble I have always had with chrome is you have to keep after it to keep it looking good. Black is less time to keep looking good. And if it starts looking like crap I can always just repaint if I need to.
