This is the view that I have from my porch in my underwear...nice rye grass for the horses to graze on and Johnny Walker Double Black for me.

And no neighbors in site. Good to heat from you Fred! You must have gotten some rain. The last picture I saw from you was basically just dust.

On a CJ related note, went out to get something out of it last night, left the interior lights on. Yep, dead battery! You would think by now I would know the lights don't go off when the door is closed.

Lee, I haven't followed Hasselbacks thread but it looks like you've got a really nice Jeep!

I should have a stock video of a wife just shaking her head, in a slow side to side motion.

Bill

Yeah, we have been blessed with the rain for the last several weeks on and off. I'm still accumulating parts little by little. Yesterday I sent off my original 1976 radio to a guy up in Minnesota to get it restored back to original condition and he has a speaker to go with it; I'll let you guys know how it turned out.

I can't believe mine still works in the '78.

image-16787857.jpg

The light works also.

image-3621279873.jpg
The push buttons all work!
Not many AM radio choices around, just 2.
This is the only Jeep dash I have with 3 holes. I'm not cutting it up!!

Also found out today why the light didnt work for the headlights, ground wasn't hooked up.

Haven't posted in a bit, only because I've been working on the pre-winter honey do list.

My Quadratrac needs a rebuild of the oil pump, so that's coming up.

So the reason I'm posting. I just Volunteered to pull a float in one of the oldest Santa Claus parades in the nation. It's confirmed that the Grandson and Grandaughter will be riding in the Jeep with me!!!! So now the bad news, I'll probably take the Rubicon. I know, I know, it's just not right. 3 of my CJ's only have 2 seats, the the only other choice is the DD. I would need to add a hitch to it.

I do feel 100 % confidant in the safety of the DD. but the Rubicon top is easier to remove, and has 3 PT seat belts, and already has a trailer hitch.

image-3726856300.jpg

So I'm torn,

Bill

I thought I would add, the floats are pretty much on a modified hay wagon (longer) so no tongue weight.

Just on case anyone else ever does this, ( it will be my 4 or 5th time, first time in a Jeep) I put the vehicle in 4low, and don't lock the lockouts. That way I can idle along in first gear, without a lot of starting and stopping.

Rbicon, Rubicon say what?

Bill whats that gonna cost you to drive the Boss Ladies Jeep? I can see a honey do list that spans years!

As far as the kids you could use Super Glue or duct tape or even both to secure them to a CJ.
