Dave, like the wizard of Oz said, pay no attention to the man behind the curtain (Gmakra)

Ok, so we spent from 10am to 8pm on the water. It was a little on the warm side today,

image-444921132.jpg

The water was refreshing when we jumped in, when the Captian stopped the boat!

Bill, I love reading your thread and haven't posted on it before but I gotta ask! How in the world did your daughter get up there? Rob

There is a path on the far side, it's similar to climbing steep stairs. The last time I jumped from this spot was 3 years ago. It's a fairly easy climb, but my jumping from this height days are over , at this point my limit is 8'.

3 years ago the youngest daughter jumped from the top, has to be close to 40' or better.

Looking at the rock, there is a hole in the middle, I guess water eroded the rock and made the hole. It's cool, like a tunnel, 5' high, and about 15' thou the rock to the jumping point.

One of my daughters female friends was proposed to at this spot.

The wife,daughter, and grandson.

image-515187124.jpg

The wife would ask to excuse her boating hair. Haha! The Grandsons lips were blue from some kind of sucker we bought him.

Thanks for following my vacation adventures. I just like to show what's out there in the USA, to see.

Bill

Sounds like a great place to see and I hope you and your family enjoy the rest of your stay. By the way, that rock and tunnel just made my bucket list! Now that you have explained it, I gotta go see it! Rob

We spent a long day on the water last night. The last 1/2 hour was some rough water. It wasn't raining, this is spray from the front of the boat. 35 est. head wind.

Thanks Paul! I would recommend a relaxing vacation like this to everyone. Especially one shared with family. It just doesn't get any better!

Here's a good family picture.

Wow!!! That's warm, err HOT. Are you at Tahoe? I've heard the water is a little cool there.

How old is the rider on the board, I'm guessing its one of your kids. That's cool as heck.

image-2460755563.jpg this is my second repair in 15 years of owning this boat, the bilge blower bit the dust.

Took 5 minutes to remove from the transom, I bet it will take a hour to put the new one in. And look at the butt connectors , this is OEM, WTF , in a boat? This was a $26k boat in '95.

O well. My iPhone was used for pandora radio all day, the only pics were from the Daughter.

image-199180883.jpg

Yep, the Daughter and SIL's wine and beer googles. But hey, Vicki looks happy.

image-2598489377.jpg

Pretty much just drove around the lake, and stopped and floated to cool off. Great day though!

A FYI, the bilge blower is used to remove gas fumes that may have Accumulated in the bilge of the boat. Either during refueling, or just after sitting for a while. I also use it when idleing along, at less than 2000 rpm. The engine cover may also be raised to allow fumes to escape. My boat is a IO (inboard/outboard) the engine is inside, the drive unit is outside. I'll take some pics tomorrow of the blower install, and what the engine looks like.

What day would be complete without a Grandson picture. Today was his 7th day in the boat. I really can't believe how good he's doing. I think I've heard the words "papa billy watch this" at least a 1000 times. It never gets old!

Not to old, just smarter! Remember Jim, it looks like 8' to me, probably would look closer to 4' for you, it's the eye level thing ya know.
