I'm not sure how far it is from California, I would plan on a week long trip.

Tomorrow the plan is Prittchet trail. Another 4+ trail . Any break downs where A Jeep cant be repaired, would be a long recovery.

Moab Rim was completed by a TJ with a stock open front diff, a limited slip rear, 33" tires, and a RE 3.5" . This was done with some excellent spotters to show the driver the correct line.

SO COOL! Oh how I wish I could do that! I love the "wheels up" picture. Looks like the guy is going to climb that fence. Can't believe someone can set poles into rock!! Geeez, what a chore! Also amazing that a river runs through the desert. I know they do, but it's cool to see the pics "real time". Are you seeing any game?

You're running 35s on your rig? You have a great looking Jeep Bill, and your rack looks like it is coming in handy.

But the right word at the right time... "Hey, give me a little hug!" That's the difference between lightning and a harmless lightning bug!

The tires are 36/13.50/15's . Vicks rack is nicer than mine. We have only seen 2 mule Deer. And a snake.
The river is the Colorado.
We aren't even on the trail yet, and there is breakage. One of our club members was putting his spare tire on and this happens. All fixed now , time to hit Prittchet, it's about a 10 mile drive on the road.

Someone on JF has a signature that says " a well built Jeep should work as well off road, as on road". That being said, on the road back form Prittchet trail. I drove my 5 at 70 mph for 10 minutes. And ran it up to 80 (4000 rpm ) twice, one hand on the steering wheel, one resting on the shifter.

Pictures for today later.

The broken spring bolt. And the repair. One of the guys has a on board welder. Al welded a couple beads fore and aft of the plate. This kept it from moving, by the end of the day the main leaf had broken, which we new would happen. The springs are double wrapped so that keep things in line. This was on the same Jeep that has had all the other problems I've told about. He also broke a front lockout or stub shaft. And his alternator bit the dust.

Today is a day off, there are 25 to 30 mph winds, with 50 mph gusts. The red rock dust in these winds is nasty, my back is sore, and there are other things to do here.

We made it to Las Vegas.

The trip here on I-15 included a 30/40 mile jaunt thru Arizona, that's where these pictures are from. I had no idea it would look like this.
