bds add a leaf, do i need it?

Hey guys,

I'm going to order the bds 4" lift for my 79 cj7. Ultimately I want to get a swing out bumper for the spare, and way down the road maybe a hard top. Question is, in the short term, will the extra leaf lift the rear a noticeable amount or does primarily just increase the stiffness without much (1/4" or so) lift? Also, regardless of bumper and top, is the extra leaf really necessary for light offroading?

Run it with the lift kit and see if after the springs break in, if you really need it.
Chances you wont need it unless you transporting a large Marge and her sister.
