bad starter solenoid?

Test run today went well but at end of day I went to shut it off and it kept running. First time it has happened. I have the resistor wire AND diode with stripe facing alternator. Had been started and shut off many times since I rewired alt and installed new starter switch. Anyway, started probing and found 12.6 v at I terminal on solenoid with key off and solenoid hums when battery is connected and key off. Pretty sure solenoid went bad but wonder if any other things to check. Thanks.

They're pretty cheap, I don't know if one is better than the other. Hell they're all made in Taiwan or somewhere besides where they should be. You're looking at about $21 at Advance Auto, they charge extra for that extra AT fitting, it cost me $10 for mine (manual).
