i havent been driving my 1980 cj7 for a while and its bean leaking tranny fluid.

now it wont go until the gas pedal is about half way down and even then it barily craws. as soon as i let of the gas its like i just slamed on the brakes.

im not a tranny guy but im guessing it ran out of fluid.

my question is how much fluid will a 1980 cj7 tranny hold.

Check your dipstick level, should use Dexron III for it. I would also look to see where the leak is coming from, might just be a pan gasket. Easy fix.
