Assembly Manual available?

My last resto was a Corvette and you could buy the GM Assembly Instruction Manual (AIM) for every year Corvette. It showed how every part was installed at the factory. Does anything like this exist for Jeeps? I'm a newbie to Jeeps.

The closest thing you will get is the jeep CJ technical service manual which is pretty detailed. Just google it and there will be a place where it can be ordered.

I still have the AIM for my '79 L-82....I wish there was something like that for CJ's....davbytrace is right, the closest you're going to get is the TSM.

there is also a Parts Manual that is pretty handy. A large file to download but worth it.

Not sure what year your CJ is but you can download the 84-86 Factory Service Manual here thanks to CJ Chet for scanning it and JeepHammer for hosting it!

That FSM listed above covers pretty much everything, though since its intended for certified mechanics, it tends to assume you have all the proper specialized tools and equipment.

Also availible online for free is the full chilton manual here: http://infotrac.galegroup.com/itweb/mode19592?db=CHLL
