P.S. I bought some CD2 to help the lifters quiet down. I was going to put some MMOil in like I usually do in all my engines but the guy talked me into CD2 and it reads that it is for lifters etc.

So she is gonna run a bottle for a week and then I'm gonna change the oil (20w50) and add one more bottle of CD2. W/that combo, it might help until she can rebuild the motor.

Alternator wiring spliced. The feed wire was broken off in the sheath.

Question. Ashley needs to replace her Fuel pump and I'm not sure which one to recommend to her.

MC-2100 carb.

Here is what I see at NAPA.

6lb-7.5 - I think this one is to high of a pressure and the line don't match up.

5lb-6.5

Question, how do I make this solenoid work correctly. I did adjust it out but the when energized it would raise the RPM to much and it would not go back to it's normal position. She does not have A/C so I'm thinking it is for the idle step up when she puts it in gear (automatic).

Thanks,
Jim

Ok we had to go w/6.5-7lb pump. It was the only one oriented to fit.
Runs great.
Here are some pictures of Ashley working in the Jeep.

She changed out plug wires, fuel pump etc.

You need to get a photobucket, the way you have the images linked now they will not show here because they are not the .jpg they are an auto-gen that is designed to keep people from sharing or downloading the engines.

Ashley is going to install her Edelbrock intake after she rebuilds her Edelbrock carb (she just got the rebuild kit yesterday) and I was telling her she should replace the head gaskets while she has it torn down that far since they are probably original. Then she will install her new fenderwel headers/exhaust. She is going to learn a lot

Question is:
1. Can she reuse the old head bolts?
2. Some say oil the threads on the bolts, some say don't.
3. She will be replacing the umbrella seals on the heads due to some smoke (it does not burn oil).

Thanks,
Jim

Ok went to change out Ashley's headers and also to put some umbrella seals on (couldn't get my tool to the rear of the head so we didn't do that) but while she had the first two rocker arms off she noticed one was sloppy when she went to torque it down. Come to find out she has a bent push rod. So she decided to check them all and on the passenger side there is another one and we can't get it out.
So she is going to remove the 2bbl intake and while she is at it install her 4bbl intake and carb (after she rebuilds it).
Also found a small core plug leaking so she will do that.
Long day and night so we will finish it soon.
