Anyone running a NV-4500 in their CJ?
If so, did you buy a new one or find one in a wrecked truck?
How muchdid it cost?
what adapters or modifications were needed?
Any disadvantages other than the price?
im considering putting one between my AMC304 and D-300.
Any info would be greatly appreciated!
Jason

I'm running the Dodge NV4500 behind my AMC V8 - bought it new for about $1800 with the shifter. You will need an adapter from the trans to the AMC bellhousing and will need to modify your skidplate to handle the extra depth of the new trans. You may need to shim from the skidplate to the trans mount - mine has a 1/4" aluminum shim. The trans requires 2 holes to be drilled in the skidplate for the tranny mount also.

I'm really happy with the swap - I've been running it for 3+ years now.
