Anyone make an Aluminum valve cover for a 1976 258?

All I found so far are aluminum valve covers to replace the plastic valve cover from 1981 to 1986. and those range in price from $67.00 to $217.00

I think my valve cover has 7 screws holding it down. I don't need the extra two holes on top.

Clifford used to anyways...

All things considered, we're lucky we had decent covers from the factory. I know of some that are still available in stamped steel, (some even in chrome which makes everything go faster) but I haven't seen anything recently in aluminum.

It isn't aluminum but I found this. Some pretty horrible reviews on amazon though...

I have a buddy of mine that has one of these 7-bolt OMIX covers he's trying to sell
It's new - as in not used - but he got it second hand
I'll ask him what he wants for it but I'm sure he would want you to pay shipping

Here's his pic

Find a '78 to '81 tin cover with the lip curled upwards and the leaks tend to go away. That or swap on a 4.0L head.

Please ask,

I can see a nice "trail Rated" emblem over that OMIX emblem...

Sorry to say but that omix Ada valve cover is for the 81-86. The one side is clearly strait and on the pre 81 models both sides have curves/humps. As far as I have found Clifford was the only manufacturer of aluminum ones for pre 81 models and they are only available on the secondary market since they were discontinued several years back.

I did - he wants $100 + shipping
Worst part is that he doesn't have the grommets or the fill plug
Youd have to find them elsewhere

Let me know

I thought I remember reading that Clifford still had some of those aluminum valve covers in stock for the older 258's. You need to call and talk to a live person and have them check.
