Anyone have experience with the 4WD 2.5" lift

Does anyone have any experience with the 2.5 lift kit made by 4WD? Oconee Offroad had a great deal going on and the lift looks to be a complete kit. Thanks!

I have this lift, on a scale of 10 I'd give it a 6.5. I also have a 3" Black Diamond, the ride and flex, are just a little less, at a 4.5 With 1 being the worse. Rough Country would be a 2, cause a 1 would be axles welded solid to the frame

I have only heard bad things about the 4wd lifts. Supposedly they were made by Pro Comp. I can't confirm thatthough. I just heard they were rough and didn't flex well. But then again it's been awhile since I was looking for lifts. Not sure if lucdog was saying the Black Diamond lift was good or bad. But I really like my Black Diamond lift.

I have wheeled both lifts, the Black Diamond does not flex as well, in my experience. Ride quality is close to the same. Both of these are on CJ7's .

Thanks guys - appreciate the feedback. I thought I read somewhere that the 4WD lift was made by BDS.

lucdog, I wonder why your Black Diamond didn't flex well. I was rubbing with 31's not quite a full flex with mine. Then I added a 1" BL and still rubbed. I am happy with mine but some people have obviously had different experiences. Good luck on your choice.

I heard that 4WD lifts were made by Pro Comp since 4 Wheel Parts or 4 Wheel Drive hardware owns Pro comp. That is what I was told by the guys at our local 4 Wheel Parts store. But then again I don't trust them on anything involving leaf springs. Their all coil guys from my expereince.

I never thought about it till later, my Black Diamond springs are on narrow trac axles. This could make a difference, with less leverage. IIRC you have YJ springs in the rear.
Since your in IN. you've probaley been to the BADLANDS, and the rock quarry. This is were I, and the person behind me, noticed less flex, Than the 4WD springs. I have not counted leaves to compare the two. Or took the time to look side by side.
I do wonder if BD or PROCOMP (no clue who makes the 4WD ones) even make springs, or just farm them out.
