Anyone done LED tails on a CJ???

Im talking ones that are sunk into the tub....Anyone ahve a writup or anything? pics are good....

mine aren't LED, but they are flush mount. from what i've seen i think the 4inch round LED's are more common. they were pretty easy to install too. just made a template out of cardboard, traced it onto the sheet metal, then cut the holes with a pneumatic reciprocating saw. don't mind the rough paint job. i'm waiting til it gets colder before i get back to body/paint work. its just way too nice here in SC to have the jeep off the road.

If you want to do the recessed tail lights then spend the money and buy the poisen spider crusher corners with the holes already drilled.

Here's mine:


I used ajig-saw to cut the hole in the corner guards (hole was already in the body) and a connector from a trailer wiring harness to connect the lights. I spliced into the origional back-up wires and ran them to a 55 watt KC lights back up kit and mounted them under the bumper.
If you need so more details, I can get out tomorrow after work and take some better pics.

yep, mine look like Keiths. I paid a total of 65 bucks for my set up! Gotta say though, I miss the old look.
