I have a 2.5 inch skyjacker lift on my 64, i ahve a lot of extra room with my 31s and am looking at tires, are 33s a legitimate option? anybody else have this set up? Pictures?

I ran them on my 73 with 2 1/2" lift. Fender trimming (pretty big) was needed if you are offroading it. If you are just driving it on the road or mud bogging it might be possible to make some really long bump stops. CHeck out my pictures as there should be some of my 73 on there. That said, I think 4" of lift is too much for a narrow track CJ5. I was happy with the results although if I did it again I would try to make something better looking with some TJ flares.

I have a 2.5 suspension lift with a 1 inch body lift on my 84 cj7

I was running 33" DuraTracs with 2.5" superlift. I didn't like the look though so I went with a 1" body lift. I drove it for a year before the body lift.

One other consideration, 2.5" is just an approximate based on vehicle weight. If CJ-7's and 5's use the same springs I don't see a company manufacturing two different spring rates for each vehicle considering the low volume of orders they probably receive. The 5 being lighter, you may get more than 2.5".
*After a little research the springs are the same, so that would be something to consider.

I ran 33x14s on 2.5 BDS no problem on my old 7, now same springs and tires on my cj5 with a lil shackle(3/4 in) and no problem. Also my roomate stole some of my 33x14s and put em on his stock(i think it may have an inch or less body lift) cj7 and he has only minor rubbing during flex.
