I am also interested in finding one I like the thread a while back a guy did on dash restore and he actually changed the circuit board where he could play an mp3 player through the original tape deck I think that is super cool.

Ah alright, I was going to say if you were closer to northern il there's a guy with 3 barns full of almost any cj part you can think of. He doesn't ship tho. I may still have one that came out of the 80 cj7 that I'm rebuilding, I won't know till I go home for thanks giving. If I still have it and you pay shipping its all yours.

This guy is selling these too:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Jeep-cj8-86-...item1c1a9cab1e

I am looking for an original radio also for my CJ7, but they seem to go for 3-400 bucks....to rich for me. Ive got a ford radio in the dash now, that fit the factory size. It doesnt work, and was in there when I got the jeep.

Place a thread in JF's Wanted forum (and every other Jeep-related board you are on). That's what the people with the parts watch.

And looknig at his other pictures, it doesn't look like I'd trust him. The samples showing the on/off views don't even match - looks like he 'shopped a digital display over a manual display. You can see something sticking out from under the digital display..

"OFF"

"ON"

See if 'stealing' the pics from the posting works..

*edit - Yep it worked! not sure if they'll still be around after the posting ends, but if you look closely, the digital display on the bottom one isn't even straight compared to the radio..

this ad has popped up on CL locally for the past few weeks, though they appear out of TX

http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/clt/2696304023.html

I know nothing more of them than they have an (apparantly) original AM/FM Cass deck for sale?
