So I made it to Colorado!! Unfortunately I had to leave the jeep in Cali, couldn't get it to pass Cali smog.. Is there non smog counties in Colorado I can maybe get a PO box at, and register I here then send my plates back and drive it here?

The vehicle will have to be here first in order to register it here. Colorado requires a VIN verification inspection for vehicles with out of state titles. They make sure that the VIN on the title matches the VIN on the vehicle.

You can get an extension on your cali reg. or put it on a trailer and tow it to Co.
As a native of Colorado. I would also like to move back home.
But, with the kids and g'kids so close. Ain't going to happen.....

Can't get a temp plate without smog? That's how I drove mine from PA home to Ohio, a PA temp plate. Then once here I just had the "out of state vehicle" inspection done, went to BMV, new plates when I walked out.

Granted, I used the temp tags the full 30 days - I like getting my money's worth
