I've been asking for updates too, Never saw the completed project. I guess he's finished with the build and the forum. Jeep was looking really good, wish we could see it finished.

Hey guys, I'm still on the forum pretty much all the time and I dont plan on leaving. I wish I could say I was finished, but I am still several weeks away. I've just been swamped with the office and have not had much time lately + not been motivated. I promise I will post some more pictures this weekend!

Here is an update on some of the things I've done:

Had a leaking oil pan, turns out the oil pan was warped, had to replace pan and gasket.

Could not get rid of a slight miss at idle, so I figured I would do the Team Rush, now it really purrs and no more miss. Thanks to Jeephammer for this one.

Put the interior in. I decided to put carpet in, at least for the near future. Looks very nice. I wanted to do Linex but couldn't justify the cost right now, this project is sucking me dry. Ooof!!!

Finished the the engine bay, wiring, lighting, stereo. I bought three of those AMC AM/FM/CB radios on ebay and installed the nicest one. I still have to put the CB anntenae on and figure out where to out the mic.

I bought two sets of the OEM rocker guards, none of them are especially nice, but I am polishing the best pair and will either have them chrome plated or re annodized in the next couple of weeks.

I just painted the tire carrier and will be installing it this weekend.

Still need to install the top, visors, rear speaker pods. I am really considering some Laredo decals from Austin Jeep. What do you guys think?

I can't get the wipers to work right. This one is killing me.

Wow, other than the AMC emblem (instead of the Jeep logo), the missing side steps, the missing rear view mirror, the missing dash pad, the missing spare tire & carrier and the missing glove door, that CJ looks like it just came from the assembly line or the showroom floor. Nicely done!!!! Are you going to install the OEM factory sidesteps? If so and you don't have them, I have a pair sitting here in my garage. You going to install the rollbar cover and body decal set too?

Still on my quest to get the kinks out of my steering- my steering won't return to center after a turn. The consenous was bad ball joints. Bought all new Moog greasable ball joints and new wheel joints. Spent all day Saturday with my uncle putting them in, what a nightmare:

Best of all, the steering isn't any better. So, not the alignment, caster angle, ball joints or wheel joints. I'll be putting in a new steering box next. Any other suggestions? Thanks
