Another CJ Gauge Question

I know that the gauge dilemma has been covered a lot, but I can't seem to find my specific problem and thought I would ask.

For the most part all my gauges work
My problem is that my gas gauge reads half full when empty and is buried above full on a full tank and takes a while before it moves down.

My guess is the sender in the tank is out of calibration. If it is, you get to drop the tank to fix it.

John Strenk has put together an extremely helpful and informative primer on gauges. Here it is: http://home.roadrunner.com/~john.str...for_cj_gau.htm

Here is another by John Foutz on Jeeptech.com: http://jeeptech.com/electrical/gauges/

Mr. Strenk has also put together a Jeep gauge spec chart: http://civilianjeep.info/Strenk/Gaug...QuickFacts.htm

We owe him a BIG thanks!
