My CJ doesn't even HAVE a radio or a place to put one! And I'm not cutting one, either. If I ever do put tunes in it, it'll be a small amp in the tool compartment, a pair of bookshelf stereo speakers and my iPod...
We also have a 1969 Olds with a stock FM Stereo in it. there are two "Boxes" one in the dash ans a second mounted inback of the dash to get the stereo. They also used the body as a ground for the second wire to the rear speaker.

Can anyone answer the question for the AM/FM/CB radio do you need a special antenna or does the spliter match the CB to the stock FM antenna?

Don't mean to hijack....but is there a fairly "cheap" CB unit that will fit in place of the stock radio ? I already have a console w/ my cd player in it.... and was either going to put a cb in the stock hole or use it for toggle switches.....

Has anyone tried one of these units? How was fitment to dash?

Well I hate to say it but I'm back on this topic.

I had installed a stock AM/FM/CB radio in place of the stock AM/FM radio.

It worked fine all last year and for the first few days this year when I got the Jeep out.

Then the FM just quite.

I'm going to send it out to be restored.

I need tunes though while it is being fixed.

I would like to get another AM/FM stock radio to plug up while a wait. I can always resale it later.

Not all plugs in the rear are the same, this is the ones that I have, one square, one flat, and power.

Got one in good shape for sale, know a source?
