amc 304 stroker

wanting to stoke out my amc 304 but really dont know where to start

If you google it you will get some hits. I found an interesting hit on a 304 that was stroked to 330 with a 390 crank.

Seemed like a lot of work and trouble when a 360 is externally the same as a 304.

yes it is but its the original motor so wanting to keep original block for matching numbers just want more out of it

I didn't think the block had any numbers on it to "match" it to the jeep it was installed in. Keep us posted on how much more power you get out of it compared to when you started.

390/401 crank swap has been done. One of the guys on the AMC-list and various Jeep lists just finished one.

I plan to bore mine enough to run 4.0L pistons.
