AMC 20 or Dana 44?

How do I tell which rear end I am running in my 79 cj5? is there a visual indicator on the housing?

any help is appreciated.

AMC 20 looks like a WWI British helmet. D44 is not round and has a indent on the cover for the gears, take a picture and post it if you still aren't sure.
