AMC 1973 Rambler 304 in CJ7?

Does anyone know if a 304 out of a 1973 AMC Rambler drop into a 1980 CJ7? What would I have to do to make it work? Change of motormounts? Oil Pan? etc...

Thanks

If your're replacing a 258 then you'll need the pass. side engine mount to install the AMC V-8.

It will be replacing a GM-151 4 banger, the standard engine that came with the jeep. I think a valve is sticking and the SR-4 Transmission doesn't like 2nd.

I just got it and it needs some body work, so I am trying to get it reliable before winter.

Are you planning on keeping the SR-4 or not?

At this point, I am trying to get a T-176 so I won't be keeping the SR-4 nor will I be keeping the GM-151 if I find a 258.
