Feels AWESOME!
After Sam's football team finishes the year end tournament it is HUNTING SEASON!
Next spring it's time to rebuild my (or should I say Sam's) old 1993 Z71 Extended Cab. I've had her since she was new.
Heck longer than I've been married! Sam really loves her.

Congrat's, glad to hear that you have had no problems so far! I keep thinking once mine is up and running how far I am going to go before something breaks!

The 88-98 4'th Gen Chevy's are great trucks. What are you planning for the Z and when is Sam going to be driving?

Full paint, some interior work and 2 inches or so of lift with larger tires and new wheels.

It already has a new engine and tranny with Edelbrock stainless headers and true duals with Flowmasters.
It runs and drives well; it's just starting to show its age.

Sam is only ten, but I Promised!

New fan control is on order.

Very Nice! Wish I could have that engine in mine. I'm stuck with the 258 but I am going to add FI to it and do some other things to increase the power. If I'm not happy I'll start thinking about an engine swap. If only I had 10k my Jeep would be done and I could be driving.. I guess I'll have to stick with what I got and make the most of it for right now.

If I had 10K I'd be eating something besides Mac-n-Cheez!

First let me say thanks to all of you here for all of the great info.
Jeepforum is the best site on the net!

A few thoughts after driving the jeep some.
The six compared to an eight is no comparison!
Anyone who is thinking of swapping to a V8 of any kind I say do it!
The AFI TBI setup is superb! Starts the first time every time and runs flawlessly!
So far about 15.5 miles per gallon.(when my right foot stays light)
I will no longer do any brake upgrades except Hydroboost!
The Vanco unit is the best mod of this little build!
The rebuilt steering box, HD bracket and brogeson shaft are great!
The little jeep is no longer so darty with play in it going down the road.
I do wish I had gone with a shaft with a damper, but I can live with it.

We have her finished for now. Still some cleaning to do and such.

Before

After

Before (the day we traded for her)

Now

Vanco Hydroboost

380 miles on her so far

Finished Dash Plate

Tach

Our dollar store speakers

How we had the pipes ran

My co-workers Sampson (left) and Isaac who helped so much.

And of course an advertisement for the folks that helped to make it all happen.

Dang, Jeff... it's like the credits of a great movie! Always sad to leave. Are you done? What's next? You gotta find SOMEthing else to do!

When Morris 4X4 gets their supplier to send the correct windshield seal (not Morris' fault),
we are going to replace the glass and install a complete intermittent wiper setup and a wiper upgrade.
Next will be some different seats and next year Dana 44's front and rear.
Oh and next spring we will install AC.

Thanks Guys!

Dave yours will be a DD and I think that it would be kind of hard to drive it daily and keep my foot out of it!
Plus with 4.10's she winds up quickly.
I'm trying to be easy on it until I can do my axle swap.

We had temps in the 20's this morning so I got up early and fired her up.

Started right up! Purred like a kitten and all the gauges looked good.
She is officially ready for hunting season!
