Air cleaner hold down

I am rebuilding an 84 cj7 Laredo for a friend of mine, and he is determined for me to only use original parts. The problem I have ran into is the air cleaner hold down stud and wire for the autolite 2bbl carb. I can't find one and he does not want me to build one. It looks as if the wire from a carter bbd would work but the only one I can find is on ebay still attached to a carb and the cost is $55. Does anyone know where to find such a part? Collins does not have one listed on their website.

Sorry to hi-jack. But I'm looking for the same part.
I have nothing on my 85 CJ7, no air cleaner, nothing. Want to cover up the carb. Or whole air cleaner thx.

Roy, Is this what you're looking for? I have no need for any of it including the Carter BBD. Saved it just in case. If so it's all yours. Let me know.

Autolite carb? Not much in the way of original parts there. The 84 came with the computer feedback BBD carb so I am thinking that $55.00 one is your ticket. A $25.00 carb kit and he is back closer to stock. Then you need 10 miles of vacuum lines to hook all the emissions back up... <grin>

Roy, your mailbox is full, so I couldn't PM you. I will be shipping it all out tomorrow. Was hoping for today, but got stuck at work. Enjoy and good luck. My 85 was my first Jeep. Tons of fun, but just as much work!
