I figured thats where you were going with that...

Anyways, that puts me at 550 according to that formula in which that formula does not know my engine's true needs. I hear ya with what you are saying for over the counter carbs, but the carb shop built my carburetor according to ALL my specs from my engine (Stage II build). So, it is not too much carb for my 304, and that was my "opinion" for the OP.
