Aftermarket A/C question

My original plan version 1 was to restore the original heater system. 1.1 was to delete it and install a Heatercraft (type) system.

With some things changing in my life I have come to the realization that I need A/C. While looking at the aftermarket kits, (Jeepair, Collins Bros) they state the units have heaters.

My question to any one who has used one of these kits is do I need any of the original heater parts? Blower motor, vents. ducts?

Thanks!

Re-seal your old unit and try to reuse the heater core (have it hot tanked and pressure tested). Do the Blazer heater motor upgrade. Buy a kit from JeepAir.

Just my two sense. The factory heater works well with new seals, good clean heater core and the Blazer motor upgrade.

I think the unit with heater is more of a yj unit. Cj's I believe had the heater unit then the a/c separate. Refurb your current heater unit and install the a/c unit. Works pretty good

Thanks guys. Do you think the A/C unit would fit with the Heatercraft type?

Not sure on that. Do you not have the original unit? Way less money to refurbish.
