85 cj temp gauge problem

I have replaced both the temp gauge and fuel gauge, put in new temp sending unit with matcheing ohms for gauge. Shows full hot upon start up I let the engine run for 30 minutes or so the engine is definatly not running hot. Any ideas? Thanks

only thing i can say is install a mechnical coolant temp gauge in vehicle until you are sure the orginal equip type unit is working.

The fastest way to ruin a good engine is lost of oil pressure, second fastest way to ruin a good engine is to let it get hot.
