85 CJ 7 question

Anyone know what this component is? It's on the passenger side next to battery against the firewall. Top is a 6 pin female and the other is a an 8 or 12 pin female(I didn't snap a pic of the covers off sorry.)

diagnostics plug to interface with the engine computer (behind the dash) and other sensors. Used at the dealership back in the day.

Yeah, you can use it as well, I believe my book says what each pin does and what you should see on it.
