84 CJ7 hardtop problems

not that it's really important to have a hard top, but I was throwing mine on to see how it fit today and it didn't! I just bought it from a reliable friend, inexpensive, did some fibergalass repair on it, painted it, and when I put it up, it's about 3 inches too long!!!??? Is it the wrong hardtop for my Jeep or do I need to ask for some explaining from my friend?

Where is it too long? Have you also put on the doors as to make sure the rack of the windshield isn't too far back. Also, where did he do the repair......a small spot or two, or across the whole front....see what I mean.

Eh... might want to ask some questions. Where did this top come from? Seeing that a YJ tub is the same size as the CJ, I would think that a YJ top would be a problem. Unless the windshield position is different.

Dude, that sucks...definitely question your friend!

Yeah I would try putting the doors on and check the windshield. Mine leans back more than it suppose to.
