84 CJ7 Dies when brakes are applied

Every time i come to a stop sign my 1984 CJ7 wants to stall when i apply the brakes, the rpms drop and the engine will stall unless i hit the gas at the same time i apply the brakes to keep the rpms up.....Vacuum leak some where? Power brake booster need replacing? any ideas are welcome, Thanks

You pretty much got it , plug the booster vac. line and hit the brake & see if it dies.

A carboned up EGR also can cause that. To test, just unplug it and block the line.

The carb itself can have idle issues, but those don't just happen when braking.
