84 cj steering column swap

Ith a gm column do you have to swap the shaft or will it just slide right in

You want to put an '84 GM steering column in your '73 CJ? Is the '84 column tilt or non-tilt? (I don't know if it matters, however) Just trying to confirm what you're asking

No it's a question for a buddy he's got a 84 cj I have a steering column for a 76-86 cj wanted to make sure before I sold him something he doesn't want I told him I'd ask around to be sure
