83 CJ 7... Here's what we're gonna do!!!

Alright fellow Cjers... I have my plan on the CJ, here's what we're gonna do. If anyone has any better ideas, let me know! Feedback is always great, especially from a crowd like this! Here we go:

1) OX Lockers
2) 4.11 gears
3) AMC 20 Chrome-moly one-piece axles
4) 4 to 1 tera low kit for Dana 300 (Advanced Adapters 4 to 1) with twin stick
5) R&R Power steering install (get rid of my manual steering crap)
6) 4" BDS spring-under suspension lift with 1 3/8" shackles
7) Corbeau Moab neoprene seats w/ harnesses
8) New serpentine belt
9) Overhaul front and rear brake systems
10) Herculiner the entire inside of the Jeep
11) Warn Powerplant winch/recovery system
12) Poison Spyder custom roll cage
13) Custom Dash from Double D

AND.... a permanent smile! Now I just have to sell the wife on the final pricetag. Yeah, I went over budget by a few dollars

What do ya'll think!?!?

I had an '84 Lerado that had a 258,A/C and a serpentine belt. Not sure how Jeep decided when to use a serpentine belt or a V belt. My wife has 2 '89 YJ's both are 258's. The Lerado with A/C has a serpentine belt and the non A/C Islander has V belts so maybe it was an A/C thing.

I'm installing power steering in place of the manual steering and I had to change the belt up front to make room for this new gear.

Eveything sounds great but why use the 20 rear axle? I'd rather put that kind of money in a 44.

Pictures, yes.

Sounds like a good plan with serious parts. To help convince the wife, tell her you will sell the removed parts to other jeep addicts

California CJ's were equipped with the serpentine belt, While the other 49 got V-belts.
