Started this project about a year ago, it's an 82 CJ7 with the 258 and T5 trans. Been reading alot on this forum and learning even more. This is what I started with. Will post more pics one I get home from the station.

didn't realize how unorganized the garage was back then.

I wanna see more pics, pics, pics.

Kdozier 09-26-2009 08:01 PM

Well, i had a computer crash on me and am looking for all the pics that I backed up, but this is what I found on the camera. All the body parts are off at paint shop, hopefully I will have it back soon. I'm trying to be patient, the guy that I have doing it does wonderful work and from talking with a few other guys and seeing his work he is worth the wait.

The frame and axle housings have been blasted and recoated. All new SS brake lines and fuel lines run. RE 4.5" lift installed. Doesn't show it here but TRF done with HD tie rod and drag link. The 4.2L that came with it was shot so I found a 4.0L out of a 94 GC and mated that to the original T5. Haven't done wheels and tires yet because I'm afraid that I wont be able to get it out of the garage, I have 80" clearence and when I did a mock up with the 31's that are on it I could just barely get it out. Kinda at a stopping point without the tub so like I said, hopefully I get it back soon so I can send more pics and get some more work done.

Slowly but surely

Starting to get some parts back from paint. Getting excited, should have the body back within a few weeks. Dash from DBLDFAB. Thanks, Dan

Getting Closer

A few weeks ago after getting it back from the body shop.

Loaded it back on the trailer for it's last trip to the body shop. Having some alignment issues and gonna let the experts mess with it. Was getting ready to start throwing tools.

Hopefully have it back next week and can start it. Then some axle work, wheels and tires, and custom driveshafts and should be on the road.

What seats are those you have installed? They look good nice and simple with good side bolsters.

Kdozier 07-02-2010 05:53 AM

There are superseats, I believe they are made by rugged ridge. Thx

Ken4444 07-02-2010 06:34 AM

It's looking great. What part of Houston are you in and did you use a commercial body shop for the paint work, or an individual?

Another Texan, another build thread and a sharp looking Jeep
