'80 CJ7 Brake Booster

Finally found/fixed all vacuum leaks except for the brake booster. When i suck on vacuum hose going to booster, no vacuum at all. Right now the vacuum port is capped off so engine will run properly and I have manual brakes, need to fix this. Anyway to check if the problem is the brake booster or the check valve on the brake booster? Anyway to repair the brake booster if it is the problem?
I've searched for a new brake booster and the only ones i find are for 82-86 cj's. Did they come stock in an '80 or was mine modified sometime in the past? Will one for an '82 work in mine?
Thanks in advance,
Tim

Replace the booster. Don't bother with replacing the stock single diaghram, go to a dual diaphram booster. Either that or a hydrobooster.

The 1995 YJ dual-diaphragm setup is also a popular swap, which you will find threads on here in CJ Tech if you search. If you decide to go that route, I have one of the YJ firewall brackets and you can buy the booster and MC new at the parts store.
