80 CJ-7 Front Disc Brake Photo's

Not sure what the PO did to this CJ. Either installed the front calipers in reverse or the rims he installed need to me offset out. Either way getting a rub on the aluminum wheels. Have only a hair's clearance between the wheel and the caliper. Then again Autozone could have done it to me again.

Pictures anyone???

Dave

I'm not clear on what kind of picture you want but this is a pic of my 79 CJ7 with the wheel off.

Looking for a back side pick. Not sure if the PO had flipped the caliper (left side on right), or just placed bad rims on this jeep. Getting a metal on metal between the caliper and the rim. You by chance have a part number on that caliper? Also is your bleeder valve pointed up or down??

Thanks

Dave

Your bleeder valve should be pointed up or it will not bleed correctly.

The caliper the PO had on only will fit one way. The clearance issue is caused by a realtively large caliper and not enough clearance. either bur some wheel spacers or move up to a 16" rim.
