79 FSJ Steering box on CJ-7

Will a power steering box from a 79 FSJ work on a CJ-7. I want to add power steering and I can get my hands on a box from a 79 Wagoneer

That's exactly what mine came out of. The existing coupler worked with the input of the '79 box.

You'll need a pump from a '79 and older vehicle so that the hoses have the same type of fittings at both ends.

You might need to swap the pulley on the pump depending on what engine you're putting it on. I put mine on a six sylinder and the pulley sheaves didn't line up with the V8 pulley.
