I am no fan of the CJ6 but this looks good to me, probably because the proportion seems better than the 6. Still following along waiting for more updates

thanks for all the feedback, it helps motivate me to complete this build.

unfortunately i ran out of acetylene right away tonight so i only got the frame shored up. though i did get the catalog to order the new gauges.

it's leaf sprung. the bottom two pics are the only ones with the rear springs installed. i'll have better pics when i remove the tub today.

Would you mind showing how you did the frame work too? I'd love to see pics, know how you aligned everything, what kind of welds, etc. You'd be teaching me the welding/fabbing skills, only without the pay!!

i will once i pull the body again. i planning on that today but didnt get much done today, being mothers day and all. mostly just did more mock-up and measured for the gas tank location.

'84 CJ-7: Yota axles (spartan locked front, e-locked rear) 4" BDS, 1" Daystar & 3/8" shackle lifts, 35" X-Terrains on steelies, YJ Tub & family roll bar, heater blower upgrade, 4.2L w/MC2100 & Team Rush, Warn 8274. Rebuilt 4.2/4.0 hybrid, AX15 and twin sticks/clocking ring waiting to go in.

The advertised position for a topless, dirty jeep girl has been filled......by my wife. Thanks to all that applied.

ya'll keep using the word redneck like it's a bad thing?

i pulled the body back off to finish welding the frame and body mounts. i'm going to go ahead and set the pinion angles and build the drive shafts while the tub is off.
