77cj7 top

I'm looking to get a new soft top for my jeep. I have soft doors on it. I'm wondering if I order a new top does it have to state for soft doors or does it not matter if they are soft or hard doors. Will they seal all the same. Thanks for any help

There are a couple of different designs for doors, Depends on the shape of the top corner of the door whether it is round of square

The only soft doors for a CJ I've ever seen have a round top on the rear. YJ's have a square corner, ( at least mine does.) Hard doors do not fit good at all with a soft top.

YJ hard doors/tops have a rounded upper rear corner as well.

YJ soft doors/tops are almost square in the rear upper corner.

You can't run your soft doors on a hard top or v.v. with a YJ. Well you CAN I guess, but the door won't shut all the way and you'll have to bungee it.
