77 CJ7 Automatic Problem

Hello to all! I'm new here with my first jeep. I've been working on getting my CJ7 dependable. Thought all was going well until today. I was out scouting for deer and had to get up a wet slope so I got out and locked in my hubs. Got to the top in 4wd and went 100 yards and unlocked the hubs. Drove 150 to 200 yards in 2wd and then my 2wd went out.
When I put it in R or D, I hear something grinding. Then when I put it on park it grinds.
Front drive shaft works fine but rear shaft will not move.
Drove it home and parked it!
Anyone out there have any quick fixes?

Unless your transfer case has had a part time kit added, you should only be driving with the hubs unlocked if the transfer case selector has been moved to emergency drive.
