76 dash in 74

i have a 1974 cj and i wanted to do somethign different and think about putting a 76 dash in.... does anyone know if it would work?

I hear it wont work. I am currently looking for a new dash for a 75. If you come across anything, post a reply to me, OK? I'll be on the lookout for a dash for you too, OK?
