I think I just cut back to the hole so it wasn't an issue. Sorry, it has been a few years since I did it.

It does great. Sometimes if the pump has a lot of pressure I only use the first click on the nozzle otherwise the back pressure will turn it off. You can see I have a bit of a kink in it the fill hose but not too bad.

Thanks for you help! I'm still trying to figure out exactly how i'm going to do this, it appears that the filler hose will be too close to the tub side support. Did you run into this issue at all? Do you have any pics of the location on the back of the jeep, or the proximity to the tub side brace?

Looking for some guidance on this as well...my poly tank and the other parts just came in yesterday. Looking for a solution for the potential franken-hose that I'm going to have to put together.

i am going to do the same swap but i used all my yj parts (minus tank). my 76 needs the filler stuff replaced so since i have all that left over from converting my yj to a tj filler, i figured i might as well use it all.

use the 87 yj hoses, should fit perfectly

I don't feel like working on anything, at this time.

Sorry for the delay in response. Yes the tub support is a bit tight and were I to do it again, I would trim the hose a bit better to avoid that issue. Here are the pics of the filler plate as requested.
