76 CJ5 Body Mount Problem

Need some help please...

I have a 76 CJ5 and will be getting the tub back from the painter tomorrow and can't get the body mounts to fit. I bought the OMIX 12201.02 kit from Rugged Ridge and the part of the mount that inserts into the holes on the frame are too large.

What am I doing wrong?

The rubber or poly mount doesn't insert into the frame mounts. It rest atop them. The hole in the mount and bushing, is larger to allow for adjusting the position of the body on the frame.

I believe pre 1980 CJ's had smaller diameter holes in the frame body mounts and I know the two front toeboard ones did. Did you get the correct kit for your year CJ? I think early CJ-5's only had bushings sitting on top of the mounts and not through them like 76-86 do.
