76 CJ Rear Seat Belt

Does anyone have pictures of where the rear seat belts mount? I know the middle one. I just bought mounting brackets and they are kind of permanant. I will be adding retractables later on and want them to fit right.

Thanks

I do know on my '83 that they mounted to the factory seat base itself.

Yup... on the stock back seat, the belts attach to the factory seat bracket - both bolt to the same point in the middle of the seat bracket and the each side bolts to another point of the respective side of the bracket (in the back - you can see it from the rear of the Jeep when the tailgate is open - big threaded hard points on the back seat mounting bracket). If you have a fold n' tumble seat conversion... then there's no factory location in a '76 to which to bolt the things. You kinda have to make it up... Just reinforce any place you drill/bolt them to in the tub because you don't want them to rip out in case of an accident (aka, when they are needed most).

If ya still need a picture, I can snap one this afternoon and post it.

Not sure if this is what you're looking for or not??

I have an 80 CJ7 with the fold and tumble seat.

That should help, what would you recommend reinforcing it with? Are those side belts bolted through the frame?
