5 years of "restoration" complete!

Back in 2012 I purchased a 1978 CJ7. The day I got it home I had the dash off, the seats out, and the wiring harness removed. For the next 5 years I tinkered; grinding, sanding, painting, greasing, replacing, so on... After many hours, busted knuckles, and $$$, I have completed the resto.

304 V8
TH400 Automatic Transmission (3 speed)
1339 Transfer Case (Mile Marker part time kit installed allowing for 2WD)
Dual Flowmaster Exhaust and AMC Headers
Edelbrock Carb
Warn Locking front Hubs
1 Piece Axles
Welded SOA lift
1" Body Lift
New 35" MTs (less than 10 miles on them)
New Gas Tank and Sending Unit
New Front Disc Brakes - Rebuilt Rear Drum Brakes
New Master Cylinder
New Shocks
New Ball Joints
New Steering Stabilizer
New Drag Link
New Tie Rod Ends
New Sway Bar (quick disconnects)
New Steering Box
New Alternator
New Starter
New WIRING HARNESS/Fuse Box
New Steering Column
New Rear Seat
New Seat Belts (front and rear)
New Windshield Wiper Motor
New Bumpers (front and rear)
New Center Console

Day 1:

Mid way through:

Today:

Important things I learned:
-Label EVERYTHING - Get lots of baggies and label ALL of your nuts and bolts.
-Dont sell or give anything away until you are COMPLETELY done... Even if you think you done need it anymore.
-My angle grinder was by far my most used tool

Loved every second!

-Dave

That looks really good, I hope to be where you are soon.

My build thread ruined by the fine folks at photobucket, repaired by a lot of tedious hours.
