48 cj2a

i recently picked up a 48 that has been in my family since it was new. its all original. i even have the crank starter... just thought id' share that with you...

Put them on a hosting website like flikr or photobucket and post the links. Someone will post them for you click free. The only way you can post them is to have 50 posts, or pay for a membership. Can't wait to see it.

looks like i need to start posting more. right now im in the process of rebuilding the carb and fuel pump. its been sitting for 10 years at my moms house. i couldnt stand seeing it sit there. now i have it and im going to restore it, the original color was luzon red, with universal tan wheels with a luzon red stripe on them. you can see it here: (its white)

Damn that thing is in great condition. I guess thing really don't rust as bad in AZ. Keep postin pics or links so we can follow your porgress. Also check this site www.earlycj5.com they have a ton of knowledge on the old school rigs.

ha! thanks. we just had a 3 day car show here in yuma called midnight at the oasis. i must have had at least 5 people come to my door askin if i was selling. i guess they didnt see my front door mat that said leave.

it was bought in phoenix back in late 48 to mid 49 by my great uncle. he died and my mom got it. it was driven about once a week till about 97 then sat under a tarp. now i have it...

Thats very nice, i own a 54' CJ3B, and i to have people coming to my door when its in the driveway to ask to buy it.....but they are awesome to drive around, good luck and keep us updated
