3D CJ Files?

Do any of you have any good 3d files of CJ5s or 7s?
I want to plan some mods in 3D before I start
cutting.

Bump this old thread for the same question. Even scanned blueprints would be great.

I've been looking for a file with a CJ7 dash layout as well... (autocad, drawings, etc.)

Here is a DXF file for a Jeep Dash. I have used this program to burn out a few dashes.

This is perfect! Thanks for all the postings (through thread #6) at least. Mind if I ask what you used/paid to 'burn out' those dashes (laser cut, CNC, etc.)? Thanks!!

I am the shop foreman at a heavy equipment attachment shop. We have a 40'X60' CNC Plasma and oxy-fuel burn table. We can burn anything from 20ga on up to 5" thick. I used our burn table to burn them out after buying the steel.

What ever the program, I'd like to see the entire Jeep done and the ONLY way we are going to catalog the entire CJ is with a collaboration...

So far, you guys are throwing GREAT links!

I agree that is why I am pursuing this. With our diverse skill sets we should be able to get some good data together in the next few months. I have a really good cad guy on standby but need a good factory specimen front windshield or some good data to give him.

I am also working on getting some great stuff to production for us CJ guys especially the guys with the CJ5s.

It seems we all have the same complaint about poor quality aftermarket parts. I am sure if enough of us get together we can come up with some much better stuff just outsourcing to ourselves and each others different talents.

If I could get my hands on a copy of SolidWorks, I could come up with some good stuff. I had a whole semester learning it in mechanical engineering school.

I here google sketch is great and it is free. I hear this from some guys who are masters at autocad and solidworks. I can barely type so it is all hearsay.

The Google Sketchup site has a buttload of video tutorials for learning how to use it. It seems easy to figure out/use, but then again I use CAD on my job, so maybe I'm biased.

Just subscribed to this thread. The thought that amoung those on this site manufacturing what we need for our Jeeps is appealing to me. There's another thread dealing with what people would like to see made for CJ's What would you like to see manufactured for a CJ? that would also go along with this one. I'll try and contribute all I can.
