38" Tires, so what axles?

Hey, Im gonna put between 38 inch and 39.5 inch tires on my jeep cj... am I good with a dana 60 or should I invest in 70 .. 80.. etc.. I was planning on an 80 because 60 feels a bit weak for 38s... right? Please, suggestions!

60 is plenty more than enough, they hold up under 7000 lb trucks with massive hp and 44s, so a Jeep on 39s aint gonna cause any trouble in my view. I have had 38s on a stock Powerwagon axles (44 and 9.25) for years of hard bogging with little issues (broke one front pinion). I ran 36s on stock S-10 axles for several years with out issue (broke one stob shaft in the front).

Take a peek at my old video clips below.. those were with a front D60 and rear 14bolt.. V8 power, 42" rubber and no regard for the drivetrain whatsoever..
