What wires are needed for the ignition module to fire up an AMC 360? I was told that it just needs to be powered up, and then its like one wire to the distributor. Does anyone know which wires need to be hooked up and which ones need to be bypassed?
Im not exactly sure what wiring system. The motor was out of a Grand Wagoneer. There are 6 wires on the module itself (orange, purple, green, green and black stripe, white and red). On the harness itself, there are 2 plus for it i believe. A yellow and green plug, and a blue, black, white and either blue or green with white stripe. Not sure if that helps or not. Im trying to figure out what needs power in order to get the motor to fire.
The distributor has a vacuum advance and does not use points.
An aluminum box with 2 plugs, 4 wires in one and 2 wires in the other?
Sounds like a DuraSpark although the colors are a little different. Is there a plug on the distributor also?
Here is the DuraSpark with the TFI upgrade. Just insert stock coil if you use one for the TFI coil. The TFI upgrade is well worth it though.
