360 Distributors

Some Im leaning towards an HEI distributor/coil. Whats everyone else using? Are the HEI's worth the $$$? I dont want the points and I really like the idea of the one wire hook up to keep the wiring to a minimal under the hood.

TTT, been calling all around today. Not getting much love.

This is a summit one, but out of stock till the end of the month.
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...0&autoview=sku

4WD has the DUI set-up and its $379!!! Called Performance and they want $379
4WD has the Mallory one, 3 left @ $349.00

4WD is in stock, Summit is not. Kinda would like to go with the cheapest one that Summit has as the build is starting to get expensive....

Looks like thats the route to take, my buddy looked online last night and said there were a few out there. Are you guys running the DUI set-up?

That is the one I am running. I am happy with it. The end of the month is only 2 1/2 weeks away. Try Jegs. I think they had it for the same price as Summit.

they also have a mallory HEI it is 170ish and its a nice distributor. the only thing is you have to transfer the gear from your stock distributor to the new one. and it involves drilling the hei shaft. i took mine to a machine shop and they did it same day. One thing with AMC V8s are the distributor gears are a matched set between the cam and dizzy so if at all possible use the oem gear.

on the mallory i got it through pace performance and summitt also has it

Got one off of Ebay today, cant wait any longer. Moving to Reno in a week and my jeep is at my buddys and he wants it gone so he bought me one on ebay for $225. So hopefully I will have it beginning of the week.

Have plenty to do right now with the exhaust and headers and glass paks
