Probably a stupid question but did you remove all the head bolts? sometimes the lower bolts get overlooked, anyway you might just need to get a little medieval on em', try a wooden dowel, broom handle size in the ports or a pry bar between the block and heads on the lower ends.
Just leave the tube in until you do the bottem end, then tap it out from the bottem with a mallet or a hammer and block of wood.
